Story
Toni showed up on a porch in Selitë, Tirana, at the end of May 2026 — exhausted, badly injured, and interested in exactly one thing: a plate of tuna. An untreated puncture wound from a fight had formed a serious abscess behind his eye, and the vet found he is FIV-positive, with a blood infection, parasites, and anemia. With help from ARSA and donors he made it to the vet (in a crate stuffed inside a suitcase, after he broke the crate), and he is now recovering in foster care — on antibiotics and iron supplements, sweet as can be, and healing a little more every day.
Condition
Recovering from a serious head wound and abscess behind the eye. FIV-positive, anemic, treating a blood infection and parasites. On daily medication and gaining strength.
